"Kiss Of Death" reflects the invisible dangers that characterize operational environments, where the greatest threats are often those that only become visible at the moment of impact. The title refers to the deadly precision of a sniper's bullet, but the painting goes beyond physical violence alone.

The hidden rifle symbolizes everything that happens beneath the surface: hidden threats, invisible intentions, buried explosives, shifting loyalties, and the seemingly insignificant details in agreements or contracts that often only reveal their true cost when the mission is complete.

In operational environments, survival often depends less on visible dangers than on the ability to recognize what lies just beyond direct perception. One overlooked detail, one delayed reaction, or one incorrect assumption can determine whether everything holds up or collapses entirely.

This painting explores the constant tension between perception and reality and the realization that the most dangerous moments often present themselves in silence.

This work was created on canvas with acrylic paint applied using a spent 7.62 NATO and a .338 Lapua cartridge case. Some of the paint was dabbed with a tactical balaclava and the original contracts associated with specific assignments in Pakistan. I use real operational materials to leave something of myself on the canvas and give the artwork the soul it deserves.
